Yes, I am aware that it is only November, but I've already begun to plan out my new year's resolutions. I have gotten myself into a bit of a slump and it's time for a change. My goal for the new year is to get some organization in my life and to not put off until tomorrow what can be done today.
I am a HUGE procrastinator and a terrible organizer, so I am working on putting together a household management binder. I plan on setting up a cleaning schedule, meal plan, holiday & birthday list, along with an address book. Not sure how much this will help but I'm hoping that I will be able to get a little more structure in my life. I'll be sure to post about my progress.

Banana Muffins
I recently bought the Make-A-Mix cookbook by Karine Eliason, Nevada Harward, & Madeline Westover. There are recipes for mixes you can make a head of time so you always have some on hand (just like when you buy that extra box of brownie mix) along with many recipes to use those mixes with. A couple of weeks ago, I made a batch of the muffin mix. Today, I decided to make some banana muffins using the Melt-In-Your-Mouth Muffins recipe. I made 2 dozen not-so-mini muffins (I overfilled them a bit) and 5 regular sized muffins. I'm sure that had I filled the mini muffins properly I would have had 6 regular sized muffins.
They are delicious!
Here we go...
My name is April. I am a very happily married woman with a beautiful young son. I live a quiet, simple, modest life.
Now that the formalities are out of the way, let's get down to business.
I am nearing my 30th birthday and have begun to realize that a new phase in my life needs to begin. I will be entering my 3rd decade on this planet as a wife, mother and homeowner. None of these things were true when I entered my second decade.
This blog will serve as my way of working out the kinks. It will be about nothing in particular, just whatever I feel like I want to write about or whatever I am thinking about.
Feel free to join me on my journey to discover myself.
Thanks for stopping by!
